The Great Hard Drive Crash of 2006

The Creatrix spoke August 5, 2006 and wiped Snarkervale and all its residents from existence. More accuratively, the Creatrix's hard drive did so.

Snarkervale has risen like a phoenix as "Pleasantview" with the Pleasant twins as teenagers once again (both of their parents are alive; Mary Sue just caught Daniel with Kaylynn). Brandi Broke is newly pregnant and a fresh widow. The Dreamer family is making a living off of Darren's art; Darren is engaged to Cassandra Goth (pigtails and all). Cassandra didn't take kindly to Don's idea of a quickee elopement and he's now set his sights on the Caliente sisters.

So here we go again...

Nina Caliente and the Seastar family

After her sister Dina married Mortimer Goth, Nina Caliente felt a change in her personality. Without having to compete with Dina, she felt more generous and kind. When her friend Brandi was on the verge of eviction, she invited her pregnant friend and her two sons to live with her.

When the ghost of one of Dina's former husbands scared Brandi to death, Nina pleaded with Death to spare her friend and her baby. Death agreed and Brandi became forever indebted to Nina.

Meanwhile Dina's new husband passed away shortly after the birth of their son Luciano. Dina shared some of the wealth with her sister. Nina, Brandi and the boys moved into a renovated bungalow.

At work, Nina met the man of her dreams. Tall, athletic and great in bed, Maclachlan Seastar had once been a great first baseman for the Sim City Llamas. An unexplained groin injury knocked him down to the minors where Nina worked as a mascot for the Snarkervale Voles. Their relationship burst from casual friendship to passionate love in a single day.

During a trist at his home, Mac and Nina were caught by his alcoholic scientist wife Cordelia. Cordelia, who had been on the verge of granting Mac the divorce he'd wanted for years, screamed that she would never give him the satisfaction.

Nina became pregnant and Cordelia refused to relent, citing her & Mac's daughter Bronwen as the reason she intended to stick with the marriage. “Once Bronwen goes to college,” Mac said, “you're out. Even if I have to fly to the islands for the divorce.

Mac, Cordelia and Bronwen built a lavish new home in the fashionable part of town. They indulged Bronwen with a cell phone, mp3 player, her own suite with a bubble machine and a car. Bronwen wanted to stay at home forever: exactly Cordelia's plan.

Nina gave birth to Naomi and Mac couldn't bear not having his new family near him. He moved Nina and Naomi into the new house and into his bedroom. Cordelia took the old exercise room and made it her bedroom. Bronwen, isolated in the suite with her mp3 player hooked to her ears at all times, had no idea what was happening.

Nina tried to make up with Cordelia, encouraging her to curb her drinking if only for Bronwen's sake. Cordelia decided to take Nina up on the challenge but not for Bronwen. Cordelia has decided to win Mac back and get rid of Nina, one way or another.

Will Nina fall victim to her newly found kindness? Or will her old resolve serve her well in the battle for the father of her child, the man she loves?

Lilith and Angela Pleasant

Angela caught her father Daniel having woo-hoo with Kaylynn the maid. Soon after Daniel was caught again by his wife Mary Sue and got kicked to the curb. Mary Sue got a live-in love but both were killed by a falling satellite. Daniel moved back into the house, married Kaylynn and became a father again as a senior citizen. Kaylynn and Daniel's son is named Archer.

Lilith and Angela went away to college together and put their differences behind them. Angela is sweet and unassuming. Lilith is bold and daring. Angela fell in love with a biology major named George McCarthy. Lilith, who had been dating Andrew Beltaner as a teen, experiemented with lesbianism but decided boys were what she wanted. She was briefly engaged to Jared Starchild, who caught her in bed with George. They broke up and neither George nor Lilith ever told Angela. George had flings with other girls but was too jealous of Lilith's other loves to continue pursuing her.

After college, Angela and George moved in with Daniel and Kaylynn. Soon after that Daniel was eaten by a cow plant and inadventently drunk by his son-in-law. George made some smart decisions at work and became an ecological guru at a very young age. Angela worked vice for a while but took a CSI job when George began pulling in the big dough. She became pregnant, gave birth to Susannah and retired from the police squad. With George working only on Wednesdays yet pulling in over $10k per day, they decided to also help restaurant hostess Kaylynn with her child-rearing duties.

Lilith bought a townhouse and worked for a while as a medium, despite having graduated magna cum laude with a degree in drama. She had several affairs with married men like Jeff, a townie she met at a bar, and Henry Snowfarmer. She decided to have a baby and tried with both men several times but unsuccessfully. Then she met Birnham Widdershin, a grieving widower who touched her heart. She vowed to remain faithful to Birnham and her pursuit of knowledge and changed careers to take advantage of her degree. She is now a character actress and is planning her wedding.

Birnham's loving and faithful wife, Selene, was bitten by a vampire at a club in downtown Snarkervale. She became one of the undead herself, attempted to go to work in the daylight and became a pile of ash. Birnham lives with his sister Elsinore and his daughter Ariadne near the bluffs.

Lilith discovered she was pregnant soon after her engagement but by whom? She and Birnham were hastily married at her home; he and Ariadne moved in soon after. Angela moved in temporarily to care for Ariadne while Lilith and Birnham honeymooned in Nantucket.

When Angela moved back home, she discovered George putting the moves on her stepmother Kaylynn. Although Kaylynn rebuffed him, Angela became furious at them both. She concentrated her energy on Susannah and decided that once Susannah is old enough, she will return to her vice job and force George to be a full-time parent.

I used to put updates here but Maxis deletes houses after so long I suppose. Kind of ridiculous. So I thought I'd just make posts every now & then about my Sims.
